ISSN 1203-6595 The purpose of POEMATA is to offer members of the C.P.A. a national source and forum for ideas, opinions, happenings, and announcements. The newsletter itself does not have any (explicit) editorial policies other than to fulfill this mandate for its members -instead, the editorial position of the newsletter is that of the C.P.A. Member's.
Each issue to POEMATA is filled with news of varying kinds, including: information exchanges, chapter reports, markets, poetry and online bits & bytes; mailing lists, Chapter events, reviews and access to social events. In general, The Canadian Poetry Association's newsletter, POEMATA will serve as a link between Chapters, as well as, between all C.P.A. Member's across Canada.

Now inviting SUBMISSIONS
CPA members and friends of poetry… We are looking for submissions in poetry & articles from all writers, Canadian and International. Work that brinks on the ‘controversial’. If you feel you’ve left the established guidelines behind and you’re not even sure if works, but you damn well like it anyway, then that’s the piece we want. Think daring, rather than experimental. Less avant garde and more krump circa 2001. When choosing what to submit, keep in mind the golden rule: better sorry than safe. Send a photo, short bio with your submission. Send submissions to: riverbones@live.com or contact the CPA at info@canadianpoetryassoc.com.
